A few quick checks periodically will ensure that your two wheeler gives you a trouble free performance for a long time :- Keep checking engine oil regularly and ensure that it never comes down below the minimum level as per your dipstick. Ensure that you always use recommended engine oil as per the specifications of the two wheeler. Your motorcycle battery needs periodical maintenance to ensure a long and trouble free life. Check the electrolyte level against the top and bottom markings on the battery shell. Always top up with distilled water whenever required. Check for any leakage from battery. It should be clean and free from any leakages. In case of non use of motorcycle, battery should be kept fully charged and electrolyte level should be at Top mark. Ensure the spark plug is free from any damage, excessive carbon deposition etc. Ensure that your drive chain is always sufficient lubricated. Please ensure that you always use lubricants as specified and recommended for your two wheeler. Clean the two-wheeler body surface regularly to maintain the surface finish. Use specifically designed cleaning products only.
Drive at steady speed (between 40 to 50 km/hr) Maintain correct tyre pressure. Adjust drive chain tension correctly. Maintain adequate clutch and brake free play. Get your engine tuned and motorcycle serviced regularly by a Hero MotoCorp authorized dealer.
Safety is paramount and one should always follow the tips listed below to ensure that you never put yourself in any danger. Always wear a helmet and ensure your pillion has one too. Always adhere to speed limits Always stay in your lane, indicate correctly and well in advance. Always follow traffic rules and road signs. Never use a mobile phone while riding. Never overload your two wheeler or carry more people than it is designed for. Always carry your driving licence and important documents such as your vehicle registration certificate, insurance certificate, road tax, and P.U.C certificate with you while driving. Never drink and ride.
Engine oil is equivalent to what blood is in a human body, an inferior quality of engine oil other that Hero MotoCorp genuine engine oil may severely affect on the engine performance and life of engine parts.
It is highly recommended that all parts, oils, lubricants that are used on your two wheeler are those recommended or specified by Hero MotoCorp for multiple reasons Non genuine parts may look the same but there could be considerable differences in design, tolerance levels and the materials used, which may result in serious damage to your two wheeler over a course of time. Genuine parts have been rigorously tested on their performance with respect to your two wheeler and have proven reliability. Genuine parts always carry a warranty giving you peace of mind. Usage of non genuine parts can make your warranty null and void.
